Best Authentic Salsa De Aguacate (Avocado Salsa) Recipe

This Mexican-inspired salsa combines the smooth, buttery goodness of ripe avocados with fresh ingredients and a spicy kick. Here’s an easy recipe for preparing this tasty recipe with HerbsHi Mexican Salsa seasoning


Ingredients:


  • 2 ripe avocados

  • 1 small tomato, diced

  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped

  • 1 small jalapeno, deseeded and finely chopped (adjust to taste)

  • 2 tbsps fresh cilantro, chopped

  • 2 tbsps lime juice (freshly squeezed)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper (optional)

  • 2 tbsps HerbsHi Mexican Salsa seasoning

Instructions: 

1. Cut the avocados in half and remove the pits. Scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.

2. Add the diced tomato, chopped red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño to the blender. 

3. Sprinkle in the salt and pepper, and add the lime juice for that zesty tang.

4. Pulse or blend until smooth.  Adjust the amount of lime juice for added tang or more salt to taste.

5. Taste your salsa and make adjustments. If you want it spicier, add more jalapeño. For a creamier texture, add a bit more avocado or a splash of olive oil.

5. Transfer the salsa to a bowl and add HerbsHi Mexican Salsa seasoning for adding an authentic mexican flavour. 

6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, tacos, grilled meats, or as a topping for scrambled eggs or grilled veggies.
